Nov 11 Quiz Night Raises Record £1,426 for Willen Hospice – MKGU Members, friends and relatives took part in the event held at Oxley Park Academy. We understand that, along with food generously supplied by Domino’s Pizza, the bar was drunk dry at one point in the evening. Winners on the night were a team entered by Dave Cook.

Oct 13 Ambassadorial Scholar from Melbourne Australia, Julia Leeson, gave a speech today describing how, from an early age, she has had an interest in all things that fly. Julia is currently continuing her studies and Cranfield as a post graduate student in aeronautics and space engineering. We wish Julia well and hope to see more of her during the coming year.

Sep 23-25 The Cycle Challenge By Numbers…

48 teams, each spending between and 10½ hours every day to complete the route

191 cyclists

510 total miles completed by each team

20 marshals working for 13½ hours each day, erecting and then taking down 400 arrows

£100,000 the estimated ammount raised for the various charities

Aug 23 Headline news from the MKGU golf championship is that it raised £1,076 for the World Polio Eradication Challenge. Early reports say that Luton Someries featured heavily amongst the prizes. Read More

How to find us for breakfast

The Club meets every Thursday morning at 7:15 for 7:30 in the Catering Hub at the Open University campus [click here for a map]. The main entrance door is located behind the Walton Hall building adjacent to the Mulberry Lawn. For parking, please use the Church Car Park and then it's just a short walk to the Catering Hub. Our meeting costs £7.50 for a three course breakfast.
