District Governor Visits MK Grand Union Rotary Club

District Governor, Meirion Morris with Andrew Faraday, MKGU Rotary President 2005/6

New District Governor (1260), Meirion Morris, from Hoddesdon Rotary Club visited MK Grand Union Club for breakfast on 13th October 2005.

Meirion explained that the theme for his year in office would be Service above Self. His aim this year is to create new clubs in the District to replace those that have ceased to function during the past year and he is well on target in creating the first.

Increasing membership will be extremely important and his expectation is for each club in the District to add two new members during his Governorship.

The role of the District Governor is to support the clubs in his district and he has a team available to provide advice and help in any way possible.

Two events that he would like to see supported are the RIBI Conference in Belfast next April and the District Conference that takes place in Cardiff.
